Draft, last updated September 2026.

This is a working draft shared for review. It is not final and does not yet constitute legal advice. Please have it reviewed by qualified counsel before launch.

Affilicare ("we", "us", or "our") operates a platform that connects families, caregivers, and local home-care agencies. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or apps, you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

Affilicare is a connector, not a care provider. We help families find vetted home-care agencies and help caregivers find agencies that are hiring. The agencies you find through us deliver the care and employ the caregivers. This policy covers information handled by Affilicare. Each agency handles the information you share with it under that agency's own privacy practices.

Information we collect

We collect the following kinds of information.

  • Information you give us. When you submit a form, request care, apply to an agency, or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email, phone number, location, and anything you write in your message or application.
  • Information from partner agencies. When an agency invites a family member or provisions a caregiver account, it may share the details needed to set up that account.
  • Information collected automatically. When you use our website or apps, we may collect basic usage and device information, such as pages viewed and general location derived from your network.

How we use your information

We use information to:

  • connect families and caregivers with the agencies they choose,
  • create and manage accounts,
  • route care requests and applications to the right agency,
  • operate, maintain, and improve our website and apps,
  • respond to your questions, and
  • meet legal and safety obligations.

How we share your information

We share information only as needed to run the platform.

  • With the agency you choose. When you request care from or apply to an agency, we send that agency the information you provided so it can follow up with you.
  • With service providers that host and support our platform, under agreements that limit their use of the information.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

Health information

Some information shared through the platform may relate to a person's care needs. We treat this information as sensitive and limit access to it. Partner agencies that deliver care are responsible for their own handling of protected health information under applicable law. If you have questions about how a specific agency handles your information, please contact that agency directly.

Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used, so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by law.

Children's privacy

Our website and apps are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
